Food security & livelihoods

Families that can feed themselves and earn their own way.

We help households build lasting sources of food and income: healthy animals, productive gardens and skills that stay in the community.

How we help

Livelihood support starts with what a household already has. We give children and families goats, train women and men in vegetable production, and work with community animal health workers to keep livestock healthy.

Goat distribution is also linked to school attendance, so a family’s asset and a child’s education grow together.

  • Goat distribution to children and households, linked to school attendance
  • Vegetable production training and demonstration plots
  • Livestock vaccination delivered with community animal health workers
  • Food and relief distributions during emergencies
